Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu has expressed confidence that Nigeria will give Argentina a run for their money in Tuesday’s international friendly game in Krasnodar, Russia.
The Super Eagles are in Russia where they are preparing to file out against Argentina in a grade one friendly, days after rounding off their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign with a 1-1 away draw against Algeria.
Lionel Messi-led Argentina had on Saturday pipped Russia 1-0 in a friendly game thanks to Sergio Aguero’s 86th minute goal.
Messi departed for Spain after the game and will not be in action against the Super Eagles.
In the game against Algeria, Ogu scored a superb goal in the 1-1 draw and believes the Eagles are good to go against the star-studded Argentines.
He wrote on his twitter handle, “We ready for tomorrow’s game against Argentina.”
In the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, the Super Eagles and Argentina played in the group stage with the Argentines winning 3-2.
