Jordi Alba: Barcelona expect Chelsea to look for counter attacks again

arcelona will host Chelsea on Wednesday in the return leg of their Champions League tie and Jordi Alba has indicated that he anticipates the Blues to maintain their counter-attacking mentality.

The left-back said that this was how the Premier League champions approached the first leg, which finished 1-1, and he expects them to play the same way at the Camp Nou.

“We expect Chelsea to play as [they did] in the first leg,” he said, after surprising Adidas customers with an appearance at a store on Tuesday.

“[Which is holding] the team back and seek the counter attacks to do damage.

“It will be a very difficult game.

“It’s a very good season [for Barcelona] and we look forward to the tie against Chelsea.

“We hope to get through and then face what’s coming.”

The 28-year-old left back went on to reveal his personal targets for this season.

“I feel better every day, I keep learning and [I have gained] much more experience than in other years,” he added.

“I feel great, I hope I can win all the possible titles with Barcelona and then the World Cup, which is the only one I haven’t won yet.”

Barcelona are currently top of the LaLiga table and also have a Copa del Rey final against Sevilla to look forward to.
