London Attacks: Islamic State Claims Responsibility

An online news agency affiliated with the Islamic State group have claimed the Islamic State is responsible for the London attacks, which has left seven people dead and several injured.

It claimed, “A detachment of fighters from Islamic state carried out London attacks yesterday” the Aamaq news agency said, referring to Saturday’s assault which saw three men in a van plough into pedestrians on London Bridge before going on a stabbing spree.

It was already suspected that the Islamic State Group was involved as British Prime Minister Theresa May on Sunday 5th of June 2017, blamed evil Islamist ideology for the London attacks. The police said the investigation is still on and they have arrested 12 suspects.

Saturday night’s rampage at a popular nightlife hub around London Bridge by three men wearing fake suicide vests was the third deadly terror attack in Britain in less than three months. The British Police responded swiftly to the first emergency call and were able to shot and kill the three attackers before they were able to cause more damage.
