What is a smart home?

A smart home generally refers to a home that has been set up to automate various tasks. This can range from controlling lights to opening and closing windows based on temperature and rainfall. The equipment required depends on how SMART you want your home to be. At a minimum you will need a controller which will send out commands to the smary devices you are controlling and then you will need receivers that can control the lights, appliances, etc. Some of the current systems work via your house electric wiring,others work wirelessly, and others require their own wiring. You can also have a smart home thst responds to voice commands.

SMART HOME is the term commonly used to define a residence that has appliances, lighting, heating, air conditioning, TVs, computers, entertainment, audio and video systems, security, and camera systems that are capable of communicating with one another and can be controlled remotely by a time schedule, from any room in the house, as well as remotely from any location in the world via the internet.

Why have a smart home?

Installation of smart products give the home and its occupants various benefits – the benefits of convenience, saving of time, money and energy.
